A Boat for Every Boater
Day Boating, Your Style
With the current lineup standing at more than 20 Cobalt models, some people are moved to ask ‘Why so many?’
The range of choices can seem overwhelming, but the reason is simple: We build so many models of day boats because there are so many different types of day boaters. And while some owners may want larger vs. smaller, more performance vs. more features, more sports options vs. more onboard entertainment options, in the end, they all want the same Cobalt experience. So, here are a few tips on how to find the right Cobalt for you!
Sport Cruisers
If you’re looking for performance, start with our R Series, which encompasses the progressively longer R4, R6, R8, R30, R33 and R35 models. The R4, checking in at just over 24’, delivers the quality, standout ride, day cruising and water sports performance found in the whole series, but in a package designed for small bodies of water and that can be towed on a trailer. Move up to the 34’ 9” R35 and you’re ready for large bodies of water and yacht-certified capacity – but not towable – with a range of options in between.
Compact Fun
Ranging in size from 22’ 6” to 23’ 8”, the Cobalt 10 Series is an all-around day boat that owners can put on a trailer and take to their favorite river or small lake to enjoy a day sightseeing, waterskiing or at anchor on the water. Designed for trips with family and a few friends, the three 10-Series boats offer the style, quality, comfort and ride that have made Cobalt the standard in day boating for more than 50 years.
Room at the Top
If size, luxury and the capacity for such options as scuba diving, night cruising and leading-edge innovations are your priorities, then the Cobalt A29 is the place to start. The A29 is a premium bow rider, designed to welcome large groups with an abundance of comfort and tech features on larger bodies of fresh and salt water, including open ocean trips.
The Way to Surf
With wake surfing now one of the hottest boating trends, Cobalt was naturally positioned to take the lead in helping popularize this exciting new water sport. Our deep-V hull design and stern-drive propulsion layout that faces the propellers forward and well ahead of the swim platform were made for this easy-to-enjoy sport. And with the exclusive Surf GateTM technology consistently delivering the ideal wave, our Surf series, comprising the CS23 Surf, R4 Surf, R6 Surf and R8 Surf, excels at day boating while offering a whole new way to get into the water.
Life’s A Beach
Just when it seemed there were no new ways to enjoy day boating, Cobalt introduced its Outboard series. The Outboard Class offers powerful cruising with a modern quiet ride. Great in saltwater, these outboard boats are engineered for efficiency, ease of maintenance, and year-round readiness with a variety of power options. The Cobalt Models 30SC, R4 OB, R6 OB, R8 OB, R33 OB and R35 OB provide all the pleasures of day boating with outboard flexibility in a range of sizes.
